Job Title: Senior Chemist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Chemist to join our team at GL Staffing Services. As a Senior Chemist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our pharmaceutical products.

Job Summary:

The Senior Chemist will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This includes testing raw materials, in-process, and finished products, as well as supporting the development and validation of analytical methods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory tests and analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Test raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure quality and safety.
  • Support the development and validation of analytical methods.
  • Participate in the selection of analytical instrumentation and the establishment of laboratory systems.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of samples for shipment to contract laboratories.
  • Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and reporting.
  • Perform troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Requirements:
  • BS in Chemistry or related science with a minimum of 10 years hands-on experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • In-depth working knowledge of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting issues.
  • Well-developed critical thinking abilities, and the ability to identify and solve scientific problems.
  • In-depth knowledge of the critical functions/variables of the instrumental techniques, and proven ability to troubleshoot methods.
  • Knowledge of GMPs including 21 CFR parts 210 and 211.
  • Proven multi-tasking ability with a capability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and works well under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required.
