Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Chemist to join our team at GL Staffing Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and laboratory operations, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished products in compliance with cGMPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Support laboratory activities, including data documentation, review, and release of lots.
  • Prepare samples for shipment to contract laboratories as needed.
  • Provide technical validation support for laboratory equipment upgrades, replacements, and modifications.
  • Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and reporting.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  • Contribute to the selection of analytical instrumentation and establishment of laboratory systems.
  • Support activities to maintain laboratory compliance with FDA and regulatory standards.
  • Assist during internal and external audits.
  • Author, review, and approve key documents, including Standard Operating Procedures, Change Controls, Deviations, Investigations, and Analytical Method Validation Protocols and Reports.
Requirements
  • BS in Chemistry or related science with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • In-depth working knowledge of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting issues.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and ability to identify and solve scientific problems.
  • In-depth knowledge of instrumental techniques and proven ability to troubleshoot methods.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, including 21 CFR parts 210 and 211, and familiarity with Section 503B of the FD&C Act.
  • Proven multi-tasking ability with a capability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong coaching skills and ability to work with others to accomplish team goals.
