Job Description

Pyro-Comm Systems is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Systems Designer to join their team. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing low voltage systems, including fire alarm, ERRCS, 2-Way, Security, CCTV, and Access Control systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop low voltage systems, including fire alarm, ERRCS, 2-Way, Security, CCTV, and Access Control systems
  • Conduct site surveys to assess system requirements
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure low voltage systems are integrated into building designs
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software, such as AutoCAD
  • Perform calculations to determine system requirements
  • Stay up to date with advancements in industry technology and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in fire alarm systems design
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • NICET II (FA Designer) certification
  • Factory Certification (101 Courses)
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, for system design and drafting
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, as well as local building codes
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, technical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Resume should specify relevant responsibilities, daily functions at prior employers
  • Ability to handle "Over the Counter Reviews" with AHJ's
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, degree preferred
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
