Rivian Field Service Technician IV Position

As a Field Service Technician IV at Rivian, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences at our service locations. You will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support, ensuring that our vehicles are in optimal condition, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our Service teams.

Key Responsibilities- Support pre-production vehicle builds by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Travel to locations to provide on-site support as needed, including production plants.
- Operate remotely until local Service Centers are established, if applicable.
- Follow Rivian repair procedures with efficiency and attention to quality and safety.
- Perform complex diagnoses, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles.
- Conduct road tests to ensure the quality of repairs.
- Manage parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
- Stay up-to-date with technical skills and required training.
- Support campaigns and containment initiatives.
- Maintain accurate expense reporting as needed.
- Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in a dynamic environment.
- Provide service support to the field to support the Service organization.
- Communicate professionally in a customer-facing environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school preferred.
- Leadership, mentorship, and influencing a team experience preferred.
- 5+ years of automotive experience preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working on vehicle high-voltage systems and HV diagnostic work preferred.
- Proficiency in navigating laptops or computers in a Windows or Mac environment.
- Experience using test tools (PICO-Scope, PCAN, KavaserMemorator, breakout box, etc.).
- Extensive experience in bumper-to-bumper diagnosis and repair.
- Ability to drive non-commercial trucks and trailers preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, or as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- No driving-related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5 year period.
- Parts department and billing experience preferred.
- Experience using work order management systems, including repair documentation.
- Experience working in start-up environments preferred.
- Positive attitude when dealing with difficult situations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, along with attention to detail.
- Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners.
- Ability to read and speak fluent English.
- Ability to see, read, and interpret documents, such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or schematics.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Availability for a regular schedule of at least 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need.
- Ability to properly document repairs completed and in process.
