Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team at Med-Trans Corporation. As a Flight Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in emergency situations, working collaboratively with our team of air transportation experts to ensure safe and efficient patient transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
  • Critical Thinking: Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
  • Environmental Safety: Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintaining regular equipment and base checks, and complying with safety standards and briefings.
  • Communication: Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
  • Documentation: Share shift change information to transitioning team and follows protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
  • Certifications and Training: Maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an ALS or critical care setting.
  • Certifications: Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area, NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (Provided During Orientation), and will be required to obtain trauma certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous air medical transport experience.
  • Certifications: Advanced Certification (FP-C) and Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
