Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a vital member of our care team at Independence Village. As a CNA, you will provide personalized assistance to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1440 care: Lead and assist with daily care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Review Resident Care Plans: Review and implement care plans at the start of each shift to ensure residents receive the best possible care.
- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
- Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment: Ensure the resident's room and common areas are clean and safe.
- Document Care Provided: Accurately document care provided in CareTracker.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Follow Infection Control Procedures: Follow universal precautions and isolation procedures for infection control.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous Healthcare Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, geriatrics, or working with the elderly population preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License: Must be a licensed CNA in accordance with state laws.
Working Conditions:
This position requires standing for long periods, frequent walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment is moderate, with occasional travel to different locations.
