Cybersecurity Specialist II

Develop, implement, and uphold security protocols that safeguard systems and information from potential threats. Accountable for the detection, investigation, and resolution of security incidents identified by these systems. Responsibilities may include participation in the deployment of new security measures; involvement in the formulation and upkeep of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures; as well as conducting vulnerability assessments and audits.
RESPONSIBILITIES (additional duties may be assigned)
- Assist in executing the establishment of a risk and policy framework through CI/CD pipelines to support the department's responsibility in defining risk and security policies, standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in the IT security sector, including new or updated security solutions, enhanced security processes, and emerging attack methods and threat vectors.
- Propose additional security measures or improvements to existing security solutions to bolster overall enterprise security.
- Oversee the deployment, integration, and initial setup of all new security solutions and enhancements to current security measures in line with industry and company standards.
- Investigate the application of new or existing tools or processes to enhance the CI/CD ecosystem, integrating new technologies or processes into current pipelines, and recommend software and hardware solutions for the development and maintenance of top-tier CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain current baselines for the secure configuration and operation of all active devices, whether they are under direct management (e.g., security tools) or not (e.g., workstations, servers).
- Engage in and provide guidance on the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Offer escalation support for existing security solutions to CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with key business partners and other security teams to enhance controls through the creation of process designs that meet the evolving business requirements for customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Deliver risk consulting and/or training to business and technical partners to enhance the effectiveness of risk management across the organization.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity is required.
- Prior experience with automated application security testing tools is required.
- Experience in coding beyond basic scripts is required.
- Proficiency in programming (structured and object-oriented) with one or more high-level languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, JavaScript) is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience with IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of working experience with Windows and Linux systems is preferred.
- Maintain a continuous personal professional development program; this level requires CISSP certification and a commitment to pursue additional training or certifications in risk, security, governance, compliance (e.g., CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSMP, GICSP, GMOB, GCIH, CRCMP, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, CRMA, CORP, advanced degree).
