Job Summary:

The John Stewart Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. You will also be responsible for conducting routine safety inspections and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work with the Property Manager to identify and prioritize maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including tools and machinery.
  • Participate in off-shift and weekend emergency maintenance coverage as scheduled.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Basic mathematical skills and fluency in reading, writing, and communication in English.
  • Minimum of 3 years of multi-family apartment maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of precautions and safety procedures for working with ACM/LBP in pre-1981 housing.
  • Ability to perform maintenance and repair building trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC system, appliance repair, painting, drywall, plaster, fire protection system, etc.
