Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Services Coordinator to join our team at Women In Need, Inc. As a key member of our social services team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical services to individuals and families living in our transitional housing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Engagement: Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the needs of individuals and families, and engage them in short-term counseling, groups, and workshops.
  • Referral and Collaboration: Refer clients to other service providers within the community for long-term services, and collaborate with colleagues and outside agencies to ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention to clients as needed, and identify individuals who require a higher level of service, including those experiencing domestic violence, mental illness, or substance abuse.
  • Program Development: Participate in the development of service plans for children, and conduct play groups to address issues of trauma.
  • Community Partnerships: Collaborate with DOE, medical and mental health providers, early intervention programs, and other agencies to ensure the needs of our children are addressed.
  • Workshops and Groups: Facilitate workshops and groups as needed, and perform other related duties.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field, with experience in facilitating groups and developing group curricula.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated experience working with individuals with mental illness and substance abuse, preferably with homeless adults and at-risk populations. Must be able to escort clients to appointments on public transportation, and work evenings, at least one Saturday a month, and some holidays.
  • Core Competencies: Leading Others, Facilitating Change, Managing Performance, Applying and Developing Expertise, and Communicating and Collaborating.
