JOB SUMMARY

NOV is seeking a dedicated Quotation Specialist who will excel in delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of our offerings and collaboration with team members. The primary responsibility involves generating accurate quotations by leveraging sales and technical expertise to prepare detailed quotation packages.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop proposals for reciprocating pumps based on customer specifications and manage contract administration.
  • Evaluate customer inquiries to prepare quotations, ensuring effective prioritization and management of:
    • Due dates
    • Non-standard terms and conditions
    • Bid bonds
    • Performance guarantees
    • Export documentation
    • Product applications
    • Engineered packaging
    • Coordination of outsourced items
    • Completion of customer specification sheets
  • Finalize product proposals incorporating sales data such as features, benefits, literature, drawings, and performance metrics.
  • Support the sales manager in strategizing for order closures, assessing equipment availability, and estimating project costs within established sales policy margins.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Department for specialized applications requiring design or developmental engineering for quotations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors of outsourced equipment, effectively communicating technical capabilities and selling points.
  • Provide technical and marketing assistance to the global distribution network, sales representatives, and distributors.
  • Coordinate with various departments on orders involving non-standard terms, EQR requirements, export documentation, and customer inspection needs; manage special contract requirements.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution; or 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with reciprocating pumps is advantageous.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe software.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
  • Capability to negotiate pricing and delivery terms with customers.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
