Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Die-Making Trainee to join our team at Karl Marbach. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of die-cutting and thermoforming tools.

Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of manual and automated equipment to manipulate materials, including cutting die products.
  • Use calibration tools to ensure machine and tool tolerances.
  • Assemble proprietary products from pre-cut materials.
  • Read blueprints and CAD files to accurately assemble custom tools.
  • Lift and handle wood, metal pieces, and tooling.
  • Clean and maintain department equipment.
  • Maintain equipment preventative maintenance schedule logs.
  • Understand and use safety equipment reflective of the department.
  • Complete and fulfill paperwork required for personal time sheets in a timely manner.
  • Provide cross-training and support to other production departments.
  • Organize assigned tasks for completion alone or with assistance.
  • Treat all company information and customer information in a confidential manner.
  • Inform supervisors of problems or issues affecting the company's ability to meet customer requirements.
  • Manipulate CAD files.
  • Conduct department quality control.
  • Work in shifts.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand for long periods and adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Lift and handle wood, metal pieces, and tooling.
  • Able to perform repetitive motions and possess strong finger dexterity.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Basic metalworking background.
