Radiology Technologist

As a Radiology Technologist at Beacon Health System, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by operating radiologic equipment and producing diagnostic images. Your expertise will help physicians make accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images of patients
Position patients correctly for various examinations
Evaluate radiographs for technical quality and accuracy
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
Graduation from an approved school of radiology technology
Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certification by the State Board of Health
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions
Works in a radiological environment with hazards due to radiation
Wears lead protective aprons and gloves during certain procedures
Maintains strict standards for radiation safety
Physical Demands
Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential job functions of the position
Must be able to walk/stand for prolonged periods, push carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds, and position/lift patients at a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted
