Position Overview:
The People Insights division at Hewlett-Packard is seeking a skilled BI Engineer to contribute to the design, construction, and enhancement of analytical products and solutions.

This position will primarily concentrate on BI development within an analytics framework, encompassing data modeling, measure and calculation creation, visualization setup, data deployment, diagnostics, and performance evaluation of BI systems.

Additionally, the role requires the development of solutions that integrate Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric, facilitating functionalities such as alerting, notifications, and data orchestration.


Key Responsibilities:


- Design, develop, and implement reporting, analytics, and data orchestration capabilities utilizing tools from the Microsoft Product Stack (Azure, PowerBI), Databricks, Alteryx, Amazon Redshift, among others.
- Establish connectivity and enablement between back-end databases and front-end solutions, including ODBC, WebConnector (RaaS), or API development.
- Maintain and enhance a centralized dimensional data model for core workforce data at Hewlett-Packard. Analyze source system data and develop ETL packages using tools such as SSIS or Power Query.
- Connect and operationalize diverse people data models from various organizational sectors.
- Conduct regular quality control testing throughout the development cycle.
- Translate technical requirements into product outputs, features, and user experiences.
- Engage in ongoing design and development sessions for the analytics product.


Experience & Qualifications:


- 5-10 years of experience in large, complex global organizations, focusing on data warehousing and business intelligence techniques and technologies.
- 5-10 years of experience with Business Intelligence tools and technologies, particularly in data orchestration (dataflows, datasets, data marts, business objects, security provisioning) and dimensional modeling.
- Experience in implementing solutions using the full Microsoft Power Platform is advantageous.
- High proficiency in DAX or equivalent languages for complex calculations and measures.
- Familiarity with Python, R, and SQL for statistical analytics and data querying is beneficial.
- Experience with complex data models for People Insights/Analytics is a plus.
- A bachelor's or graduate degree in data science, computer science, information systems, finance, statistics, or a related field is required.
