Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician Level A to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food and food-related products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Load and unload products from trailers, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.
Requirements
  • 12 months commercial driving experience.
  • High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent.
  • Valid CDL B.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
