Job Summary

NetApp's Engineering Tools and Services (ETS) organization is responsible for delivering automation and testing infrastructure to support our product development and QA teams. We're seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our globally distributed team, who will work across various tools and programs to improve the efficiency of our developers.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DevOps tools, programming languages, and databases. They will be responsible for implementing tooling and integrations that improve security posture, managing stakeholders, and collaborating across time zones and teams.

Responsibilities
  • Support services, tools, and applications to improve the quality of life for software development engineers and operations engineers.
  • Work across different tools and programs, such as source code management, project/defect tracking, code security/signing, and collaboration tools.
  • Promote DevOps best practices by collaborating with developers and managers during various phases of development.
  • Implement tooling and integrations that improve security posture and platform efficiency.
  • Manage stakeholders and external interfaces.
  • Incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate across time zones, teams, and business functions as needed for team projects.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, programming languages (Python, Go, Perl, Java, C, C++), and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Administrative experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and source code management tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Perforce).
  • Log ingest and dashboarding tools (Splunk, logscale).
  • Understanding of Secure Development Lifecycle and system security best practices.
  • Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Education
  • A minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $112,200 - $157,700, and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
