Data Governance and Quality Control Professional
Ohio Means Jobs Cuyahoga County is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance and Quality Control Professional to join our team.
As a Data Governance and Quality Control Professional, you will work across the organization to develop and implement Data Governance and Management practices. You will collaborate with Finance and Business Intelligence teams to ensure the delivery of accurate and reliable data to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrity of corporate master and transactional data sets in areas such as Customer, Product, Contract, Asset, Vendor, User, Contacts, and Addresses.
- Through data profiling, quality assessment, and cleansing, ensure master and transactional data conforms to specifications and meets business needs.
- Audit critical fields in assigned key data sets, ensuring compliance with naming standards and data definitions.
- Identify inconsistencies within and across systems, determine data error sources, and recommend remedies.
- Run regular quality inspections of data and develop data quality improvement projects for non-conforming data.
- Develop and communicate business rules for creating, updating, and inactivating records.
- Collaborate with the end-user community to enforce data governance policies and ensure compliance with data quality standards.
- Manage and monitor data change requests, including account merges, client ID updates, relationship changes, and new product classifications.
- Document and improve business processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Data Analytics, Management, or related fields.
- Ability to perform research using the Internet.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills using a logical and analytical process.
- Ability to tailor communication approaches based on audience and materials.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel.
