Egg Gathering and Cleaning Job Description

Foster Farms is seeking a skilled Egg Gathering and Cleaning professional to join our team.

Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to gather eggs, clean workrooms, and perform various tasks related to egg production and animal care.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather eggs from conveyor belts and sort them according to size, cleanliness, and shape.
  • Clean workrooms, including floors, walls, and equipment.
  • Empty trash and recyclables.
  • Change dip pans daily and replace liquid.
  • Walk floors and slats to find eggs and dead birds.
  • Help maintain and clean ranch grounds.
  • Clean waters, including lifting 40 pounds to dump water and scrubbing up to 160 drinkers per day.
  • Clean ceiling lights.
  • Transfer eggs to other farms.
  • Clean up ranch between flocks, including routine heavy lifting and operating a high-pressure washer.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk 1.5 – 5 miles per day.
  • Able to step into and out of gathering pits numerous times each day (steep stairs).
  • Able to bend over and pick up eggs from the floor.
  • Must be able to climb a 12-foot ladder.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
