Job Description

As a Cloud Architect at Vaco, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting the technical architecture for MS Azure and Office 365 environments. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud computing, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS fundamentals, as well as experience designing and implementing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with on-prem to cloud migrations, cloud security, and optimizing operational costs. They will also have expertise in overall cloud performance and reliability, as well as experience with Office 365 enterprise products and services.

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for architecting and designing solutions that are scalable, highly available, automated, and meet all required security controls and best practices. They will implement solutions using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies, and manage cloud accounts, organizations, and tenants.

The Cloud Architect will also be responsible for writing scripts in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and PowerShell, and designing and implementing automation tools and related infrastructure. They will analyze current technology and develop roadmaps and backlogs to improve technology or replace as appropriate.

The Cloud Architect will work closely with project management teams to support the estimation and progress monitoring of cloud services activities, and represent the area of responsibility as a core member of the Architecture Review Board.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies, as well as proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash/Shell, and related technologies.
