About the Role:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school district setting. As a contract SLP, you will work with young children aged 3 to 6, including those with low-incidence disabilities, to provide speech and language therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans for students with communication disorders or delays.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of educators and professionals to achieve educational and developmental goals.
  • Manage a caseload of around 30-40 students, including a K-1 classroom for students with low-incidence disabilities.
  • Assess students with suspected communication disorders and provide recommendations for speech and language services.
  • Provide detailed reports of observations, assessments, and recommendations following state guidelines.
  • Set integrated goals for students with various disabilities in coordination with other education staff.
  • Advise school staff and parents on materials to enhance speech and language development in curriculum-related areas.
  • Participate in the Medicaid billing process for school-based services when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Active Illinois SLP license.
  • PEL license from the Illinois State Board of Education.
