Position Summary
Role Description
As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will be instrumental in overseeing medical care and facilitating treatment for young individuals within our facility. A nurturing demeanor, strong communication abilities, and a genuine interest in assisting youth with behavioral and emotional difficulties are essential attributes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Upholding the confidentiality of all patient health information in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Overseeing the operations of the medical clinic.
- Scheduling and coordinating medical, dental, visual, and psychiatric appointments while preparing requisite medical documentation.
- Administering prescribed medications and maintaining precise medical records for clients.
- Assessing work-related injuries and providing initial treatment recommendations.
- Conducting annual Mantoux TB tests for staff and reporting findings to Human Resources.
- Executing any additional assigned responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana LPN license.
- Experience in the mental health sector is preferred.
- Part-time and PRN nurses are expected to fulfill a minimum of 12 hours per calendar quarter.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of all necessary background checks.
