Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Horticulture Foreman to lead our residential estate management team. As a key member of our snow and ice management department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and quality of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Horticulture Tasks: Accomplish tasks such as shrub trimming, pruning, bed cultivation, edging, installation and care of annuals, perennials, and roses.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate appropriate machinery, including hedge trimmers, blowers, and other equipment as needed on job sites.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients to explain services being performed and to gather feedback on additional services needed.
  • Productivity: Meet or exceed productivity goals set by the company.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input all job-related data into the company's app.
  • Training: Continually participate in training programs that relate to your field.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Professional Environment: Remain committed to a professional working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Remain dedicated to constant improvement for yourself and the company.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience of 2+ years in the ornamental horticulture field as a crew leader.
  • Physical Demands: Able to work from a ladder up to 16' high and an aerial lift up to 40' high.
  • Identification Skills: Have basic plant identification skills.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Competitive Nature: Competitive nature and a drive to excel.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with common computer software programs and a willingness to learn industry-specific software.
  • Chauffeur's License: Chauffeur's license (or ability to obtain).
  • Organization: Well-organized with an understanding of the importance of punctuality and attendance.
  • Physical Abilities: Requires prolonged standing or walking, and extended periods of bending, stooping, digging, and lifting.
  • Lifting Ability: Ability to lift 50 pounds.
