Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wellness Activity Coordinator to join our team at Bancroft. This role involves developing and leading daily groups in exercise, games, yoga, and meditation to promote physical and mental well-being among individuals with developmental disabilities. As a key member of our health and wellness team, you will create engaging activities that foster independence, socialization, and personal growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, education, or a related field, with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. A bachelor's degree is preferred. The estimated salary for this position is $42,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is a full-time position requiring a valid driver's license and CPR certification. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to design and implement treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in collaborating with staff, families, and external partners.

You will also contribute to a supportive team environment, providing guidance and mentoring to colleagues as needed. Your crisis intervention skills will be crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing structured day services in collaboration with the Trans-disciplinary team.
  • Creating engaging activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Providing individual and group sessions to enhance skills and abilities.
  • Collaborating with staff and families to identify and meet client needs.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports.
