Overview

At Emory Healthcare, we're redefining quality nursing care. We're seeking experienced Emergency Department nurses who are ready to take on a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct daily operations on a clinical unit.
  • Supervise staff and facilitate communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient and family-centered care.
  • Lead efforts to strengthen organizational systems that support the mission, vision, and values of the department.
  • Develop and implement creative solutions to complex problems, negotiate conflict, and collaborate with others.
  • Role model expert communication skills, demonstrate foresight, and take a leadership role in building and maintaining an environment that fosters open and candid communication.
  • Provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff, evaluate the impact of policies on daily operations, and support administrative decisions.
  • Identify, initiate, and collaborate on educational programs, develop management/leadership-focused in-service, and disseminate information on current evidence-based practice.
  • Ensure compliance with educational requirements, complete performance reviews, and incorporate the Synergy model for care in nurse/patient assignments.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Two years of experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
  • Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • Certification preferred.
  • BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
