Rural King, a leading retailer serving rural communities, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team. Based in Mattoon, IL, our annual sales exceed $2.5 Billion, and we're constantly expanding. As a Project Manager at Rural King, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.



Job Summary

We're looking for a seasoned project management professional with a proven track record of leading high-visibility initiatives. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resource allocation.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
  • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to achieve project goals.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure the project is completed within the approved budget.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and post-project evaluations.
  • Collaborate with teams to leverage collective expertise to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional results.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • At least 5 years of project management experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Oracle ERP Systems.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to address challenges, minimizing potential delays or disruptions, and making effective leadership decisions.
  • Strong communication and persuasive skills to effectively negotiate and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, with the ability to adapt communication style and tone for diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks and maintaining a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Strong resilience and adaptability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of adversity and setbacks.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on industry standards and our location in Mattoon, IL.
