Role Summary

The Client Relationship Manager is accountable for managing client accounts and other designated accounts. This role serves as a pivotal leader for the service team, which includes Client Administrators and Client Managers, as well as collaborating with Marketing and Risk & Loss specialists as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise ongoing account service functions. Generate monthly production and activity reports. Collaborate with the Account Sales Executive to manage and collect receivables. Regularly meet with the Account Sales Executive to provide updates and insights. Coordinate account activities. Review and present summaries, proposals, and policies. Lead and engage in client meetings. Maintain up-to-date Insurance Summaries for all accounts. Conduct annual updates on all accounts. Uphold World Class Client service commitments, including Stewardship Reports and Pre-Renewal Meetings. Engage in new business development and proposal efforts alongside the Account Sales Executive. Seek opportunities to enhance existing client programs with additional or expanded lines of coverage. Oversee coverage placement by directing the service team accordingly. Deliver binders and invoices. Manage all aspects of the renewal process. Initiate client communication and orchestrate renewal strategy meetings. Collect renewal underwriting information. Oversee the preparation and updating of underwriting specifications. Direct coverage placement through instructions provided to Marketing and Client Administrators, and review and deliver binders and invoices. Advise and involve the Account Sales Executive as necessary during the marketing process. Prepare and present proposals. Organize all orders and instructions for the Client Administrator. Manage expiration lists. Provide leadership to the service team members. Foster an environment of trust, open communication, and collaborative teamwork. Facilitate problem-solving and cooperation when faced with client challenges. Direct the team’s focus on both internal and external client needs, ensuring familiarity with client specifications, work procedures, quality standards, and tools necessary for task execution. Provide essential business information to support the professional growth of the team. Ensure deliverables meet client requirements in terms of quality, cost, and schedule. Collaborate closely with the department Manager and Director of Client Services to secure necessary resources, discuss project challenges, and escalate unresolved issues. Build and maintain effective and positive working relationships with associates and clients.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering World Class Client service is required; alternatively, a minimum of 6 years of industry experience demonstrating increasing responsibility related to the performance of the aforementioned duties, including 3 years of World Class Client service experience. Must possess a valid unrestricted California Fire & Casualty license and a valid Driver’s license. Attain and maintain advanced insurance designations relevant to the duties, such as CPCU or CIC. Strong understanding of insurance terminology, trends, and factors influencing the industry, along with various lines of Business Insurance. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to prioritize tasks, set and achieve goals, think logically to solve problems, and present results clearly and precisely in both oral and written forms. Capable of conveying complex information to diverse interest groups in a clear and straightforward manner, connecting with the audience in terms of style and content.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to utilize a computer keyboard and remain in a stationary position for extended periods, as well as operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and telephones. Work is conducted in a typical office environment. Travel to client locations may be necessary, typically within driving distance, but may occasionally require overnight stays.

The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
