Job Purpose:

The Student Success Navigator plays a crucial role in supporting students throughout their educational journey. This position is integral to the College's initiatives aimed at enhancing student engagement and success.


Key Responsibilities:

1) Offer guidance to students and groups on various personal, social, financial, career, and academic issues, aligning with the institution's strategic pathways. May include instruction in introductory courses.

2) Oversee a caseload of advisees, ensuring personalized communication and maintaining comprehensive records of all advising interactions within the student management system.

3) Administer an early alert system for the caseload, utilizing real-time data to proactively enhance student outcomes through a coordinated support network. Provide initial targeted interventions and strategic assistance to students from their first year through graduation.

Facilitate communication among faculty and various student support services, including tutoring, counseling, and disability resources.

4) Actively monitor, reach out to, and assist specific student demographics, including high-risk individuals, first-generation students, and those on academic probation or suspension.
5) Collaborate with faculty to ensure up-to-date program knowledge, effectively guiding students in their pathway selections. Regularly update colleagues on program and pathway modifications.
6) Perform additional duties as assigned by the HUB Director and AVP of Enrollment Management.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree along with experience in student services programs is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in education, communication, or a related field, coupled with one year of experience in student advising within a community college environment is preferred.
