Join Our Dynamic Team

We are currently looking for skilled Laser Operators and Bender/Press Brake Specialists for our 3rd Shift.

Compensation: Starting at $18.00/hr. and up based on experience, plus an additional 15% night shift premium.

Location: Machesney Park, IL

Schedule: 3rd Shift / Nights. Shifts typically run from 6pm to 2:30am or 4:30am depending on workload. Generally, the schedule consists of four 10-hour nights from Sunday to Wednesday, followed by an 8-hour shift on Thursday night. Voluntary overtime opportunities are available on other days.

Position 1: Laser Operator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently operate CNC machinery.
  • Set up and manage laser equipment, including tooling adjustments and initial inspections.
  • Accurately interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Utilize cranes for positioning steel sheets and unloading parts from the laser bed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols by following established procedures and regulations.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and maintain a tidy work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Forklift operation experience is advantageous.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Position 2: Bender/Press Brake Operator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate bending machinery.
  • Change tooling, input jobs into the machine interface, and perform initial inspections.
  • Interpret computerized blueprints and drawings accurately.
  • Execute precision forming, bending, and folding on various metals including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
  • Ensure safety by adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  • Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and maintain a clean workspace.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Bender/Press Brake Operator.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with forklift and overhead crane operation is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and stand for long durations.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
