Job Title: Controls Technician

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team at Setpoint Systems Corporation. As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing control systems in our client's facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and other automation equipment.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues in control systems and equipment.
  • Program and configure PLCs using industry-standard languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block Diagrams.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure control systems are operating efficiently and reliably.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Document and report technical information, including system configurations, maintenance activities, and modifications.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with all safety regulations and protocols while working on control systems and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a Controls Technician, Automation Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with control systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including schematics and wiring diagrams.
