Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs of company machinery and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Inspect and maintain facilities to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Be knowledgeable in the use of various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
  • Detect faulty operations and report to proper supervision
  • Coordinate and monitor contractor activities for projects as needed
  • Update and maintain documentation as required
  • Support department management, project managers, and consultants as needed
Requirements
  • Community College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Five years of experience in a mechanical or electrical capacity as a tradesman or related industrial repair/maintenance experience
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and/or in writing
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Ability to independently seek out and suggest downtime reduction activities and projects
  • Exhibit responsibility, flexibility, and dependability
  • Ability to perform small repairs and interpret and implement Company policies and procedures
