The Body Shop Manager directs body shop activities personally or through subordinate staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations at Rush Enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified body and paint technicians to maintain a skilled workforce.
- Prepare and submit weekly payroll to corporate in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Close and invoice all final jobs, finalizing bills and supplements to insurance companies.
- Maintain and foster strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor and maintain gross profits from vendors, ensuring optimal revenue streams.
- Approve all sublet and outside vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Mentor and grow body shop technicians, providing training and development opportunities.
- Prepare estimates on costs and time required for bodywork, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
- Perform quality checks on completed jobs, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Two years of experience in dealership body shop and body shop technician supervision.
- Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier.
