Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders within an educational setting. This role is crucial in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students to foster their academic and social development through improved communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create personalized treatment plans that align with each student's specific needs and objectives.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing speech, language, communication, and swallowing skills.
  • Track and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
  • Provide education to students and their families regarding speech-language disorders, therapeutic techniques, and improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals and educators, to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in speech-language pathology and integrate evidence-based practices into therapy.
  • Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for certification.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Prior clinical experience is preferred, especially in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals facing speech and language challenges.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
