Uncommon Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our team. As a member of our community, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students.
Responsibilities- Instruction
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum that promotes academic excellence and social-emotional growth.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
- Data Analysis
- Analyze student data to inform instruction and drive academic growth.
- Participate in regular meetings with colleagues and administrators to discuss student progress and develop strategies for improvement.
- School Culture
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive school community.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and events that promote social-emotional learning and character development.
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- 2+ years of teaching experience in an urban setting.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
