Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Technician at Actalent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of food products. Your responsibilities will include monitoring plant sanitation and personal hygiene, assisting with internal audits, and performing standardized quality sampling and checks during production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor plant sanitation and personal hygiene as outlined by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for food processing facilities in CFR and current company GMP Policies.
  • Assist with internal audits and keep a detailed lab notebook.
  • Perform standardized quality sampling & checks during production; organize collected data into electronic logbooks, databases, and report variances and non-conformities to plant management.
  • Understand, monitor and act accordingly to support ISO-GFSI compliance, FDA-FSMA regulatory requirements, Food Safety & Quality programs.
  • Follow strict regulatory and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect the facility for regulatory compliance.
  • Testing of food products and raw materials.
  • Perform analysis of incoming, in process and finished materials using analytical standardized procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Standardize and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot systems, equipment, and processes.
  • Communicate professionally with the quality team as well as others.
  • Assist the team as needed with sanitation, inventory, and housekeeping.
  • Maintain and apply for facility certifications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, lean practices, 6 sigma, 5S, food safety, environmental and plant safety programs.
