Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and manage caseloads
  • Oversee the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce cases
  • Advocate for clients by understanding their needs and developing action plans
  • Handle full case responsibilities from start to finish
  • Maintain organized filing systems and conduct legal research
  • Communicate effectively with senior partners, paralegals, and clients
  • Provide leadership and guidance to legal assistants and paralegals
  • Draft legal documents and prepare clients for trial proceedings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of Family Law litigation experience
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice in DC
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to value client service and teamwork
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Efficient time management and critical thinking
  • Multitasking abilities and skilled in negotiation and persuasion techniques
  • Familiarity with Google Drive and G-Suite products
