Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at North Bay Children. As a key member of our teaching staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, and physical development in children.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to maintain a safe, orderly, and inviting classroom environment that meets the individual needs of each child.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents through open and responsive communication.
  • Conduct ongoing Desired Results Developmental Assessments (DRDP) on children and participate in semi-annual parent-teacher conferences.
  • Implement specific child behavior plans, interventions, and resource referrals in collaboration with the teaching team.
  • Recognize and respect each child's cultural and ethnic background, and foster positive self-esteem through respectful interactions.
Requirements
  • Minimum qualifications: Any years of experience in ECE programs, 24 ECE units plus 6 units in Infant/Toddler Development, and/or CTC Teacher Permit.
  • Desired qualifications: Proficient in written and spoken Spanish language skills.
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and range of movement.
  • Health clearance by a physician, and proof of current immunizations (MMR, Tdap, and Flu).
  • T.B. clearance within the past year, and valid driver's license (if transporting children).
Working Conditions

The position requires working outdoors and indoors, using computers, tablets, and other office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
