Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Age Teacher to join our team at Children's Choice Learning. As a key member of our preschool program, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our students.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with a focus on curriculum development and implementation. You will work closely with our assistant teacher to ensure a smooth and effective classroom experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, aligned with our company-selected curriculum (Zoo-phonics).
  • Collaborate with the assistant teacher to ensure a cohesive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Coach and guide the assistant teacher, providing clear instructions and feedback.
  • Participate in monthly trainings and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the classroom is clean, neat, and organized, adhering to company standards and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

  • At least 12 Early Childhood Education units, including Early Child Development, Child, Family & Community, and Infant & Toddler.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a teacher, with a passion for working with children (infants through school age).
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn software applications and adapt to change.
  • Experience with Title 5 and DRDP a plus.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Able to work occasional overtime, if needed, and attend scheduled staff meetings after hours.
  • Possibility of class pets, with different animals on site throughout the year.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, sit on the floor, and/or stand for extended periods.
