Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at the Wild Horse Pass Corporate Center. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of individuals, properties, and assets within our event center, convenience stores, corporate buildings, and associated properties.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires 40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in security-related roles or relevant training (security certification, law enforcement background, etc.). They should also possess knowledge of surveillance systems and security operations.

Responsibilities
  • Surveillance and Monitoring:
  • Utilize surveillance systems to monitor designated areas, maintaining a vigilant eye for suspicious activities or security breaches.
  • Conduct routine patrols to ensure premises are secure and compliant with established protocols.
  • Access Control:
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of personnel, visitors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Evaluate and enforce security protocols and guidelines established for the respective locations.
  • Emergency Response:
  • Act promptly in emergency situations, following established procedures to handle crisis situations.
  • Liaise with emergency services when necessary, ensuring timely intervention and effective communication.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Prepare incident reports outlining security breaches or disturbances, facilitating swift action and corrective measures.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional assistance and guidance to visitors, customers, and employees, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and directions, ensuring seamless communication and support.
Requirements
  • A valid Security Guard card is required.
  • The ability to pass and provide a clean 39-month Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Prior experience in security-related roles or relevant training (security certification, law enforcement background, etc.).
  • Knowledge of surveillance systems and security operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and physical fitness, enabling them to stand or walk extended periods.
  • Flexibility with work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work will primarily be performed in an office environment. However, it may also involve working outside, in various weather conditions, with occasional local day travel.
