Position Overview:

We are in search of a proactive and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to enhance our team within the manufacturing sector.

This permanent role presents a unique chance to significantly impact the safety culture and ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations at all levels.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in environmental health and safety, particularly with Title 5 regulations, and demonstrate a successful history of managing EHS initiatives in a manufacturing context.


Key Responsibilities:

As an EHS Manager, your duties will include:

  • Designing, executing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to guarantee compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Conducting routine audits and inspections to pinpoint potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Creating and delivering training sessions to inform employees about safety protocols, accident prevention, and environmental responsibility.
  • Investigating workplace incidents and accidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective measures to avert future occurrences.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and management to formulate strategic plans for ongoing enhancements in safety and environmental performance.
  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of all necessary environmental permits, reports, and documentation.
  • Leading the company’s emergency response strategy and acting as the primary contact during crises.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, new regulations, and best practices in EHS management and integrating this knowledge into company initiatives.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, including Title 5.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EHS management systems.
  • Capability to respond effectively to emergencies and manage high-pressure situations.
  • A commitment to staying informed about the latest advancements in the field and pursuing necessary training.
