Job Title: Drug and Alcohol Counselor

System One is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Drug and Alcohol Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health and Support Services unit, you will provide direct program implementation activities under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual and group level rehabilitation counseling sessions with a focus on addiction.
  • Conduct client intake screenings and assessment plans to ensure effective case management.
  • Develop and implement outreach, recruitment, and linkage referrals to community-wide stakeholders.
  • Provide case management services for clients, including referrals to food assistance, childcare, transportation, housing, and employment development.
  • Attend and actively participate in unit, case conference, internal staff in-service, community, and other relevant agency events.
Requirements:
  • CADC or CADC-CAS related licensure is required.
  • 2 years of experience in substance use counseling is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of substance use, mental health, HIV/AIDS, and related issues is essential.
  • Microsoft Office and Database experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse cultural, ethnic, educational, and socio-economic backgrounds is necessary.
