We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Adventist Health Castle. Responsibilities- Delivers Coordinated Nursing Care: Provides direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Supervises and Directs Nursing Staff: Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
- Coordinates Care with Other Disciplines: Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilizes Critical Thinking and Professional Judgment: Applies critical thinking and professional judgment to make informed decisions about patient care, including identifying and prioritizing patient needs.
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; 2 years of acute care hospital experience required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certification required.
- Department-Specific Licenses and Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Electrocardiogram (EKG) certifications required.
- Collects and Analyzes Assessment Data: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation and analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
- Develops and Implements Care Plans: Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes and implements the plan, coordinating care delivery and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Evaluates Progress and Identifies Outcomes: Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes and identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
