Job Title: City Infrastructure Specialist

The City of Pontiac is seeking a highly skilled City Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, hourly position that requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication abilities.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Job:

  • Review construction plans, permits, and applications for work within the street right-of-way in the City of Pontiac.
  • Inspect projects during construction to ensure compliance with city standards and specifications.
  • Advise contractors, homeowners, private developers, and public utilities on pertinent codes, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform related work as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a related field.
  • A valid Michigan driver's license.
  • Considerable knowledge of construction, inspection, engineering practices, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with organizational structure and operations of the City.
