Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team at Cummins. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers in the power generation industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on generators and components at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims.
  • Participate in training programs to develop and maintain technical skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues or incidents to your supervisor.
Requirements
  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage experience.
  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision, with hands-on experience working on power generation products.
  • Entry-level Technician with limited relevant experience, qualified to perform work on a minimal number of products in-scope for a diesel technician at this location.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

This position requires a Med-Card and a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. The candidate must be 21 years old and have a valid driver's license. A 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations, is also required.
