As a Road Maintenance Technician with Chaves County, you will be responsible for performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance of assigned equipment. This includes maintenance of transfer stations, compactor sites, and waste containers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on assigned equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on transfer stations, compactor sites, and waste containers to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Assist in chip sealing operations, mowing of right-of-ways, vector and weed management operations, and maintenance and assistance in shop, welding, tire center, buildings, and grounds.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2 years of experience operating road equipment.
  • Valid NM Class A CDL license with current medical card.
