This role entails managing the operation of cold heading machinery, thread rolling machines, stamping presses, lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, shot blasting equipment, and ovens. Responsibilities include setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on these machines. The technician will also inspect components to ensure they meet specifications and make necessary adjustments or tool changes to uphold quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor designated machinery
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues promptly
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Inspect components to specifications and adjust tools as needed
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance across the facility
- Maintain accurate logs and records for equipment and processes
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing operations or related fields
- Knowledge of industrial tools and machinery
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage physical workload effectively
- Capacity to perform well in a dynamic work environment
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 2-4 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing setting. Candidates must be able to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals, and utilize precision measuring tools to verify part tolerances according to specifications. A proven ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and independently is essential.
Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with first shift from 7 AM to 4 PM (or second shift from 3 PM to 12 AM as needed).
