Job Title: Senior Process Control Engineer

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Control Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining process control systems to ensure efficient and safe production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement process control strategies, including regulatory control, control sequence, logic, and advanced control for both continuous and batch processes.
  • Develop, modify, and enhance Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to improve operator efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Monitor control system performance, including loop analysis and tuning, to ensure optimal process conditions.
  • Implement new control system technology to improve process efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Support process problem-solving by identifying sources of process upsets and anomalies, and developing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain alarm systems to ensure timely notification of process issues.
  • Support capital projects, including developing project justification and managing sub-projects related to process controls.
Requirements:
  • 6 years of process control experience, with a strong foundation in industrial process knowledge, preferably in the pulp and paper industry.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data analysis tools, such as OSI PI or Capstone ParcView.
  • Strong understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), particularly Honeywell Experion or TDC, and Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley ControlLogix).
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Pulp/Paper Science).
