Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, procedures, and tests.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with patient transportation and other logistical tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical software.
