Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemist to join our team at Church & Dwight, a leading manufacturer of consumer goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and qualification of new products for our global women's health medical device portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct bench-top formulation, device assembly, and testing to develop new products.
  • Design and review experimental plans, conduct experiments, analyze data, and present findings to inform product development directions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine new product ideas, conduct research and testing, and transfer technical information to pilot lab and manufacturing sites.
  • Support marketed products by updating and maintaining electronic product specifications, design history files, and relevant documentation.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of experimental studies and provide timely reports.
  • Adhere to procedures for working in laboratory designated for the development of FDA-regulated medical devices and assist in maintaining laboratory compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in the category, competitive products, and supplier technologies through reviews of scientific literature and networking with vendors.
  • Attend meetings and trainings to maintain and enhance knowledge of immunoassay technology and product formulation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in a related technical field.
  • General technical knowledge in immunoassay and/or product formulation, with the ability to suggest experiments, analyze data, draw conclusions, and recommend actions.
  • Basic knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements for medical devices is preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and concise reports to management.
  • Strong organizational, planning, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills.
