About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Roadway Engineer to join our team at HARDESTY & HANOVER. As a key member of our Civil Highway Group, you will be responsible for producing high-quality roadway designs for new and rehabilitation projects. Your expertise will be essential in attending client project meetings, participating in proposals and presentations, and managing project tasks and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop roadway and transportation-related projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support their professional development.
- Contribute to local marketing efforts, including proposal preparation, professional chapter meetings, and municipal functions.
Requirements:
- 8-15 years of relevant highway, interchange, and roadway design experience.
- New York Licensed PE with expertise in NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and NYCDDC Standards for Design.
- Drainage design experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in MicroStation V8i software, Bentley InRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer:
