Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Director, including managing expenses, scheduling appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of events, meetings, and conferences, including preparation of materials, room setup, and logistics.
  • Manage daily activities of the unit, including ordering office supplies, liaising with vendors, and maintaining equipment inventories.
  • Represent Duke University and the Margolis Institute for Health Policy professionally to stakeholders, including senior university leadership, government officials, and private sector partners.
  • Work closely with the Institute's Director of Communications and Communications Specialist to ensure effective communication and marketing of the Institute's work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, public policy, or communications.
  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience in an academic or research setting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
