About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Architect to lead the design and production process for multi-million dollar ministry facility projects. This role requires exceptional leadership and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate the implementation of design intent into construction documents, specifications, and construction administration.
  • Design Team Leadership: Monitor and direct the design team to delegate project duties and ensure feasibility of produced designs.
  • Client and Team Communication: Lead client and internal team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues, and coordination.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks on drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Construction Administration: Attend job site as required to stay current with construction progress and information related to duties during the construction phase of the project.
Team Leadership Responsibilities
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior design staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Promote and foster a sense of true collaboration and teamwork within the design team, and with all project members.
Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited University
  • Registered Architect

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 8 years of experience working in an Architecture firm, 3 years leading projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of architectural detailing, building systems, and construction methods. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills are required. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office is necessary. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively is essential.

We have offices in Frankfort, Illinois and Southlake, Texas and have a preference for this person to be located and work from one of those locations (hybrid schedule available), however, we are also open to a fully remote candidate for the right person.
